Description
Delta Squad’s purpose is to advance the research of 3d printing technology. Through my own experience, I have found that 3d printers could be much faster than they currently are. Fused deposition modeling (FDM) will be the additive method of choice instead of PolyJet (UV resin) due to the current speed of PolyJet 3d printers. Delta-type parallel robots have been known to move up to 10 m/s (not mm/s) and pull 15 g’s of acceleration. To put this into perspective, this is 33.3 times faster in speed and 16.35 times higher acceleration than the average 3d printer.
